Have you ever wondered why some people seem so busy? I sat in a meeting with a guy this week that seems so busy that he shouldn’t have a moment to himself. It was an hour long meeting with only 10 minutes of actual content. The rest was entertaining conversation but completely off topic. If I was as busy as this guy claims to be it would have been a 10 minute meeting. Was this a one time thing or is this normal? Hmm.

Well I have finally done it! After considering it for a while I am finally putting up my first Blog.
I have been working in the technology field for over 15 years and currently am on a long term consulting contract with a local government in Southern California. I manage a team of great guys who oversee two data centers and the network infrastructure.
I would like to use this space to discuss some of the weirdness that I see in the technology industry and also discuss some of the projects that we are working on. I received a good budget and should be able to move the organization along quite well this year.
Just in-case you are wondering ICMP3 stands for the Internet Control Message Protocol and type 3 means that the destination is unreachable. It is used by routers to tell hosts that they cannot reach the end device.
Jim.
